Should CMRA host a BBQ or something on Saturday night at TWS? I will contribute $50.00

I'm thinking we should have a mass photo - USGPRU/CMRA people for publicity sake. Maybe line up the GPRU bikes or something.

I am looking for someone to do the cooking. We were going to do a crawfish boil like AF1 did at Hallett, but BBQ works as well. Anyone know a caterer?

Barry,

The folks that run the concession stand at TWS will take good care of us if we ask. Call 979-690-2500 and tell Jack to put you in touch with them.

I know Louis. I have been trying to get him on the phone. I want to offer it to him, but I would like a couple of bids as well.

Well, it is Texas... it should be BBQ. ;-)

Rudy's has great bbq (IMHO) and now has a branch in College Station, but I doubt they're gonna be the low bidder on a catering deal.

I suggest Chergle to do the cookin', he pretty much feeds everyone anyways. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Talked with Louis, the food vendor at TWS, he says he does this all the time for other clubs. He usually does a 3 meat with all the fixins for $10.50 /plate (Rudy's wants $9.50, but can't do it that night). The hosting club generally picks up $5.50 and sells tickets for $5.00. Everyone who comes through the line must have a ticket. I think most people would pop for the five bucks and the club would fair about as good without the hassel and trouble of us doing it all. Thoughts?

There's also C&J's and Buppy's for BBQ... one of them might be cheaper.

C&J: 979-822-6073 or 979-822-6033
Buppy's: 979-779-6417 or 979-779-2783

I say GPRU riders and crew eat free, CMRA members pay the $5. Donations/CMRA takes up the slack.

Okay, here's the plan. The CMRA will pick up the tab for everyone. Anyone who would like to donate toward that tab are welcome to do so.

Send checks to the CMRA office or if you'd rather just use a credit card, give me a call.

Thanks!

Ok, so you figured the honor system wouldn't work with lawyers around. I can deal with it. Check is in the mail from the intergalactic firm of Newman & Summers, P.C.

Does the old "cash is king" work?

hoping Barry lets us off the track before the bbq is gone /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I can't wait to see some great racing again.

so, can they cut from 7 to 11 or maybe 3 to 10? :p

Oh, wait, that's only for smack pack members /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
