RPSRaceTeam.com thanks and NOLA info
Hey it was a great weekend despite the weather and the challenges that came with it. Danny and I want to thank all of the sponsors and people that are always helping us out tremendously.
We also want to thank the CMRA community that through many small donations, and several large donations have helped us make sure that Danny will be able to compete at NOLA in the Daytona Sportbike class. This includes Chris Hamilton who provided a REALLY NICE R-6 that we got some initial sorting out done on Friday Morning during LSTD practice.
Danny will add some more people that need to be thanked, but it is humbling for us to see how many people really support what we are trying to accomplish. He will be racing in Sportbike on Chris's bike with competition #30 at NOLA.
I also want to thank Ty Howard. I realize you normally don’t thank your competitors, but the CMRA is a bit different when it comes to Ty and his main competitors. I have talked to Danny and Derek Wagnon for that matter. Both Derek and Danny respect Ty greatly, but the fact that Ty is one of the fastest riders the club has ever had that has competed as long and in the professional manner that he has only promotes the growth of other riders in our club. This includes Danny. There is no doubt that the team and Danny are here to try and beat Ty every race, but the fact that Ty carries himself in the club in the manner he does allows for it to be a very respectful competition where everyone who competes against him gets better. The racing is fun to watch too.
Again, thank you to all the sponsors. Sorry this is short, but we are getting ready to leave for NOLA tomorrow.
RPSRaceTeam.com would like to thank its sponsors KMC Controls, JRi Shocks, Motopiacafe.com, Komodo, Lone Star Track Days, GP Suspension, Dynojet, DP Brakes, LP Racing, Hotbodies, Arata, K's Motorsports, Vortex, WRW Racing, Sam’s Cycle Salvage, Michelin, and Island Racing Services for their continued support. Re: RPSRaceTeam.com thanks and NOLA info
Thanks to everyone who has made it possible for me to keep my bike on the track. I would not be able to do it on my own. Big thanks to all my sponsors listed above. I don't just use all the products I have on the bike because they may be free or discounted, I use them because I belive in them. Most everything I use I have been using from day one, long before I recieved any help. How else would I be able to get that old bike upfront so much.... I use good stuff that I trust. I am so lucky to have built relationships with the people and companies that help me out so much today.
I want to send a special thanks to everyone that donated funds for me to be able to race at NOLA. No matter how little or how much it was, I appreciate you all the same. You all made it possible. Thank you to my parents for chipping in big, Jared... you know who you are, thanks buddy. BIG Thanks to Linda and Eagles Cannon Raceway for all the rubber on my bike for NOLA. Thanks to my wife and my mother and father-in-law. They always find a way to help in any way possible.
I am ridding the very best I can to make it all worth it. Today we got 15th in DSB and we are very pumped about it. Our goal was to get top 15 considering I'm riding a bike I had only ridden about 3 practic sessions on... we are happy. I am looking forward to tomorrow. If I can get a better start, I know I can ride up there closer to top 10. I always seem to get good starts but this R6 is nothing like my bike. It's like starting a 125. You have to feed the clutch out soooo sloooowwww. I think I will have it down for tomorrow.
I will have another update tomorrow. I think it will be better then today. :-)
