To All Racers and Teams - Updated Contingency Procedures

To all racers and endurance team owners filling out sponsor contingency forms, please make a note of these updates:

    1. For big bike and endurance team owners, please note both the endurance team name and team owner's name on the forms, so that the sponsors can easily find the corresponding name on the correct results sheets. Many times the same bike is raced in both sprints and endurance.

    2. For all sprint racers, please mark the class name as shown on the CMRA schedule and the results sheets, with abbreviations if you like. Also mark EX or NV after the class name to help the sponsors quickly and easily find your name on the correct results sheet. For example, simply mark C SS NV if you are entered in the C Superstock Novice class. And don't simply write 600 Supersport, because the sponsors are not going to find any results from CMRA titled that way.

    3. Please don't create your own forms on the computer. This is confusing and hard for the sponsors to deal with. Go to tech, get the latest forms from each sponsor and fill them out completely and bring them to tech with your bike. If you want, grab extra forms and fill them out before you get to the races so you're not dealing with 20 minutes of paperwork while you're stressing out about getting through tech and making your first practice.

Many of the contingency coordinators processing awards are not racers or even motorcyclists, so the dozens of class names and categories of racing are confusing and mean nothing to them. The clearer your forms are filled out, the faster you'll get your awards.

    Thanks,

    Kevin and everyone,

Copies are okay. If you want to fill out the information that doesn't change like your name and address info, bike info, etc., and make copies to save a bit of time later on, that's okay, except in the case of sponsors like Bridgestone and Vesrah that provide and request their forms be on a certain color paper.

Yeah, filling out contingency paperwork is a minor hassle, but it's worth it when the certificates show up!
