    05/06 Kawasaki ZX6/ ZX6rr 636 Modern Classic Legal

    05/06 Kawasaki ZX6R/ ZX6rr 636 $3,000

The bike is a 2005 ZX6R 636 motor in a 2006 ZX6R frame. The bike is legal for Modern Classic. That’s the main reason why I got this bike. The bike has all the goodies. I got it from Ty Howard. As I understand it, the bike held track records at Oak Hill and No Problem back in the day. The motor was built by Steve Upchurch (Racing Engine Service) years ago, but only has one season on the motor, plus Ty loaned it out a few times after that. When I got it, it had a bad transmission and had been sitting up. I bought it and had Upchurch rebuild the transmission for me. The transmission only has three laps (yes, 3 laps, not days or races) on it.

Here’s a quick rundown of the pertinent performance bits:
    Penske shock
    AK 20 cartridges in forks
    full M4 exhaust
    Power Commander III
    Dynojet quick shifter
    Ohlins steering dampner
    Case guards on both sides
    Steel braided brake lines
new lightweight battery (Shorai, I think)
    Vortex rearsets
Brand new Pirelli tires (3 laps on them)
    520 chain conversion
    frame sliders
The old LP Racing stand in the pictures comes with it.

The bike comes with spare gearing and a few other little odds and ends like a dented but usable spare tank. It will come with a bill of sale only.

(you’ll notice in the picture, the brake pedal is missing. I have another one on the way but it will be black. They had to re order it, as apparently they don’t make the silver ones anymore, but I wanted to get this ad up anyway.) The right rear swingarm spool is broken off, but I’ve just been using the non-spool rear stand rather than fixing it.

It’s both cheap and fast and that’s a pretty rare combination in my book.

The bike is available for viewing in Austin and I’ll be happy to send video of anything you want to see. E mail is the best way to reach me:

I can bring the bike to TWS on Saturday. The brake pedal came in and has been replaced now.

    Price Drop $3,000

I'm probably going to be moving in a couple months and I'm not looking forward to moving any extra gear, so I also have some race equipment I might let go with the bike as a package deal if the buyer wanted:
    generator
    tire warmers
nice front and rear stands (not the old rear stand in the pics)
    transponder
    canopy
    etc. etc. etc.

I'm not interested in selling this gear apart from the bike. If the bike doesn't sell, I'll bring it out for a few races and use it.
