    Rider Status - Allen Dye

Allen Dye (#270) will be headed into surgery today to repair a broken back he sustained after a nasty high side coming out of the bus stop in Race 7 at MSRH this past Sunday. He’s at UTMB in Galveston and has been there since transport on Sunday. He’s been moved out of ICU to room 9C. He’s in good spirits, laughing and joking as always, they have the pain management under control and have had him in a brace since yesterday. He’s been hanging out with the misfits since March when he completed his prov nov requirements. He ran a good pace Saturday in the Team 60 despite never having been to MSRH before. The doctors are optimistic on recovery and Allen “would be at Texas World if they’d let me”. It’s hard to keep a racer down. If you live in that area feel free to stop by and see him.

Allen, take care. Give yourself time to heal, then! I'll see you on the grid.

Very nice guy. I hated to see him transported but I'm thankful he's on the mend. Heal up quickly Allen.
