Thread: What's behind your number?

  1. #1

    What's behind your number?

With the scramble at the beginning of the season to retain or get "your" number, I wondered: What is the significance in the number you run? If you currently run 1-10, that's obvious - what's the significance of your other number?

The results of this informal poll may make it into an ad for the club in Roadracing World this year. If for some reason you don't want your comment [possibly] used in the ad, just mention that somewhere in your post.

Thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to seeing the replies!

It was the lowest number available, all 3 digits numbers that mean something to me were taken. Conveniently it matches up closely with half my endurance team numbers.

I want the most "1"s possible because it's easier to place on the bike and on the signs required.

#948 - Highest 3 digit number that was backward compatible with AFM and as a rebellion to all the 2 digit number squatters...

Me too! I'm always a bit bemused as I watch folks agonize over the 'available number list' when renewing at the track ...

    723 is my birthday.

Daisy's 354 was actually stolen from me. 3 and 54 are the two numbers I have used in all the sports I have played throughout my life and what I wanted. She got her license first so she stole it.

98 from 9/8 (September 8). My 6yr and 4yr old daughters were both born on that date. I was 908 as a novice and grabbed 98 when I was [wrongly] promoted.
