Thread: Moving from street to track! Need help!

I started on a 900 and rode plenty of big bikes and light weight is the most fun i have had and the cheapest. I was never able to get my 1000 on good tires or even close to setup.

You don't need to explain your decision Jake. Enjoy the bike, have fun and if you decide you're in over your head you can sell it for what you paid for it.

Sv650 the smaller bikes you can only do a few races. SV can do 4 or 5 if your over 40.

Most people start on a i4 600. If I had to do it over again I'd start on a sv650. The 600 is more fun for track days for sure!

Kinda true. You can technically race up thru C, B, A, F1, and HWT and be somewhat competitive in Novice. I had a blast racing my SV in SSB.

... I have always had the mentality to learn at the highest level with high standards. ... But, obviously I am going to hold myself to a certain standard. I started on a 600, where most started on a 250, I caught on faster than most when riding....

No need for explanation. Good to have another bike on the grid.

I will explain it to you Dean. The kid wanted a 1000 and he bought one. You need to go back to Jedi school so you can do a better job of making people do things you want them to. It hasn't worked here, it hasn't worked with the ladies and it hasn't worked in you getting a discount with your AARP card.
    Now go suck it!!!

Dean used his Jedi skills to make me buy an sv650 to race next year.

    Go suck it Sean.
