As title states, I need some ideas on how to mount the body work. Pics and instructions would be very helpful. I can only see that I would have to trim the plastics to make it work.
Thanks

Get an 08 GSXR fairing stay from Vortex it bolts right up to the SV Frame. Use that as a starting point. I made 4 simple brackets to support the upper. Two of them pick up motor mount bolts and the other two pick up a threaded boss on the inside of the upper frame tubes near the steering head. The lower is supported by the upper with two mounts at the rear. The biggest problem with the SV is the exhaust system touching the lower faring in burning holes in it. I had to wrap the header to keep that from happening. The tail section is a little more work. I had to modify the subframe to make the 2011 tail fit but once it was done it looked really good. I'm replacing the 2011 bodywork with 2007 GSX R 600 bodywork and it looks like all the same mounting points will work. You'll have to do quite a bit of trimming on the tail to get it to fit. I'll try to snap some pictures tomorrow of the brackets and mounts and post them here.

Sweet thanks Walter. I am plan on on working on it this weekend. I stupidly bought the sv vortex fairing stay, but it looks like I can make that work. I have heat cover on the belly pan already and hope that will work out well. Whoever "fixed" these fairings did a poor job on the belly and I have to fix this issue also by trimming. The tail section is actually for a SV already, so luckily that isn't a problem.
Any chance you were able to snap the pics?
