Just so you guys know, the 08/09 R6 airbox is the best one of all the year. You actually will increase your HP by installing an 08/09 complete airbox on your 2010-2016. This is due to the stack arm being longer and opening more.

The velocity stacks are shorter on the 08-09. The 2010+ used longer stacks to increase torque to make it easier to ride on the street. The HP difference isn't much but the earlier airbox gets rid of a hiccup in power delivery when the stacks cycle open at the midrange under WOT. They're much smoother and the dyno chart is prettier too without the big dip in the middle!
I take my statement back, I was told this by some other guys.

they were on jay newton's bike and they made a hugeee difference in power (horsepower). well according to the dyno charts.
