    Kendon Trailer Bearing replacment

I am pretty good about pumping new grease into the trailer bearings, but the wheels seems get dirty pretty quickly. The wheels still spin smooth, but I am worried that the bearings are leaking or maybe I just didn't clean them well enough.

Anyone have experience with the Kendon bearings? Do they usually need changing every could of years or just keep filling them with fresh grease?

My 2004 still has its original bearings. I just grease them a couple times a season and check them for excess play every year or so. I've only had to adjust them once.

My wheels are perpetually dirty. I usually just wait to clean them when I'm re-greasing the bearings.

That has what I have been doing. Wasn't sure of it was just residue or they were actually leaking a little. I'll keep my eye on it.

I bought my kendon brand new beginning of last year, one side flings grease all over the rim, but the other side is perfectly clean. I just regrease mine every 4 events i go to or so. I asked a buddy and he said its normal. but besides that I cant say too much about the bearing replacement.

Seems like these bearings never need replaced as long as they are greased - their manual says every 1000 miles...I can tell you I haven't done that - probably 10K miles on the trailer, greased them twice. Naughty Naughty.

It's too much work to replace them unless the wheel is wobbly.

    Have you replaced them before?

On my flat bed it was a pain. Maybe kendon has an easier system?

doubt it, the Kendons do have the grease nipples. Should be the same pain in the *** to replace them. Thought the ease of being able to grease them should prevent that.
