There were a lot of racers that broke the rule last year and did practice starts whenever they wanted during green flag practice.

FYI - We used to get ZERO practice starts.

Also, there are safe ways to quickfill with the OEM cap. I like the new rules.

Guess I'll be buying a new tank for the R3

Really think this is a giant step back in terms of safety. Quick fill/ dry break is much Safer

There are no bikes in lightweight that can use daybreak [sic] but an old 250 Kawi or 500 classic machine.
Carl - thank you (and other respondents) for making it clear that the revised endurance rule text failed miserably to communicate changes simple in concept but agonizing to convey. Help is on the way .... a Revised (date 1-5-17) Rule Book soon to be posted.

Hopefully it will make the true intent perfectly clear.

With some trepidation I look forward to reading reactions to the new version text on this matter.

If there's still confusion, we'll try yet again.

Thanks Alan! I just hope I can use the dry break ! I bet 20-25% of the lightweight grid has dry breaks from last year. Bummer having to change all this 6 weeks before opening round!

No hints - we need to see how y'all interpret the re-written text on your own. Walter's gonna try to get it posted tonight.

And because it belongs in C class. Refer to 2009 AMA 600 class.
