Wanted: 250cc Rebel or Grom style bike to lease for a few days

My 16 year old daughter is taking her Motorcycle road test on February 14th, and she learned to clutch shift on a Grom. Unfortunately, the Grom is no longer available.

She's been riding her Yamaha Zuma for a year now, since you can have your scooter/moped license when you turn 15 in Texas (Christmas present last year). She took the MSF course on a 500cc Harley, so she's comfortable on anything smaller than that.



Not looking for a sport bike... just something like a lightweight Rebel or even a Grom.

Just looking to use the bike for a few days to get her used to it, and then take the test.

I will be responsible for any and all damages that may occur.

I've looked at leasing a bike from a business... but the costs add up quickly, especially since I'd like her to be comfortable with it for a few days prior to her road test.

http://2wheelsinmotion.com/rent/ They are @ $300+ for 4 days. Eagle Rider doesn't have smaller bikes at this location, and they don't rent on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Any interest out there? If so... let me know what you've got and your price. Or... if you know of any other decent alternatives... please let me know.

That's lame. My daughter just had to do the written/computer test after she did the MSF class when she was 16 but I guess that was back in 2010 or 2011. If the Grom was in DFW I'd do it but it's down south now :/.

Hey everybody... I just wanted to give a shout out to Chris Woolsey, and thank him for coming through for my daughter.

He allowed my daughter to use his Grom for her Motorcycle test at the DMV. She passed!

Yay! Congrats to your daughter. Our oldest rode my ninja 250 to school a lot, before I turned it into my race bike. Chris is one swell dude!
