Email blasts. Haven't seen anything about it, and I'm amazed how few people log into this board. They're all over FB, though (I'm not, so maybe it's there where I don't see it)

Announcements have been made, blasts have gone out, and FB posts have been made. There is only so much that can be done.

They must have been targeted at those who haven’t registered. That’s good

What do you mean by haven’t registered?

Mail blasts went out to EVERY 2019 CMRA Member and Associate Member.

Mail blasts were sent to the email address that was entered on the 2019 License Renewal and Associate Member Renewal form.

Registered for the banquet. The last email I have about the banquet (not including the sign up confirmation) was on 11/15.

Sounds like the same issue exists as with the BoD election. Lots of people will still forget or simply trash the reminder, but the turnout would have been better with at least a couple reminders. I’m a fan of learning lessons before it’s too late. We can blame lots of things out of our control, but there are some simple things within “our” control. I’d hate to see a “banquet cancelled” thread where folks mention this.

Ok let me try this on for size.

    I didn’t vote because I wasn’t reminded enough.

I didn’t buy a banquet ticket because wasn’t reminded enough.

It’s the CMRAs fault that the banquet was canceled because they didn’t remind us to buy tickets enough.

The 2019 CMRA Awards Party will be held at THE BARN in Hewitt Texas on January 18 2020! 1900 W. Spring Valley Road
    Lorena, TX 76655
    Between Hewitt and Lorena

Please fill out the Ticket Order form below and send it in no later than December 18. We need to have 175 tickets sold by the cut off date or we will be forced to cancel.

    Last Day????

admin@cmraracing.com. Tables can be reserved for 8 people, but 6 out of the 8 have to have bought tickets to reserve the table.

"A list of local hotels will be added shortly!" never did see them in the other post so here's a link....

With that company offering to sponsor the banquet, how does that affect the number of tickets needing to be sold?

We need to sell 175 tickets. That has not changed. As of midnight last night we are still 61 short. To be clear there are two individuals that have come forward and offered to help cover the shortfall on ticket sales. Contrary to what has been said on social media I have spoken to both individuals and we have the details of their offers. There has been no offer to sponsor the banquet in its entirety.

Frankly if we as CMRA license holders can't manage to fund OUR banquet on our own then we DO NOT deserve to have it. Nothing can be said to change my mind on that.

Are we really prepared to buy into this handout mentality?

If we have then the CMRA is DOOMED!

THE DEADLINE TO BUY TICKETS IS MIDNIGHT TONIGHT!!!
