2019 Novice Rider Indexs for Expert Promotions!!

The Rider Index is one of the tools used to evaluate Novice riders requests for advancement to Expert. Riders with an index of .6 and above will be strongly considered for advancement to Expert for 2020.

Does such a mechanism exist for demotion? I know it’s possible to demote, but this thread has me wondering about similar formulas to work the other way. I’m serious. Perhaps it could serve to retain some folks who get burned out by getting thrashed in expert class

It appears that the index is based off of how many entries there were per race rather than how many actually showed up to the grid. Working the calculation with how many we actually raced against changes the score significantly. Not a complaint, just making sure I understand.
