I felt like my name was going to be there too, and checked with Walter. I wasn't sure whether or not those who finished on class podiums (as stated in the rule book) would still be considered regardless of requesting. He replied stating it's been reviewed. So you can double check with him, but I would think your name is coming up on the "more to come" list mentioned on his post. Particularly as you hit both criteria on the rule book with class podiums and the #1 overall Novice.

And congratulations to all who already made the list!!

This is the EXACT same process that was used last season.

We are encouraging Novice riders who finished in the top three in points in any of their classes and/or Novice riders with a Rider Index of .6 or above to self promote.

Novice riders wishing to be promoted to Expert must send a written request to the CMRA office.

License Renewal Applications will be posted early next week. The deadline to retain your number for the 2020 season is January 1st!

After January 1st the CMRA will promote any Novice rider that we feel is attempting to sandbag.

Remember if you wait until after January 1st you run the risk of losing your number.

Forgive my ignorance but how it's measured/what is the rider index?

And I saw the post from Walter about, just isn't clear to me how it's measured exactly.

It's essentially just a measure of how many people you finished in front of. We can looks at yours for a couple examples
    http://forum.cmraracing.com/Results/...raMarcelo.html

    0.6470588 6 17 Event 1 ***

There were 17 people in the race, you finished 6th so the formula is

1- (6 (your place)/ (17 (total people)) = your index number for that race.

    1 -(6/17) = 0.647

    0.9090909 1 11 Event 3 ***
    1-(1/11) = 0.909

Then it just adds those all up and divides by the total number of races (yours is 42, you can see it down at the bottom) to give your overall rider index.
