APRIL MSR HOUSTON EVENT WEEKEND CANCELED!!
To All CMRA License Holders and Supporters:
With social distancing orders in Texas extended through May 4th, the CMRA will be cancelling the MSR Houston event scheduled for April 24 - 26.
We appreciate everyone's understanding as the health and safety of the CMRA Family and Competitors remains paramount.
We are in the process of reaching out to all impacted competitors regarding outstanding March NOLA race entries that were moved to the now canceled April MSR Houston weekend.
With this change, the CMRAs focus and preparations turn to the May 22 - 24 event at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit. The Memorial Day weekend event at the historic Hallett Motor Racing Circuit holds a special place on the CMRA calendar as it hosts the Sixth Annual Westby Classic.
Weekend action will include:
Friday full-day CMRA racer practice
CMRA License School
Saturday 6hr Ultra Lightweight Endurance event
Saturday & Sunday Championship Sprints
Please note the 8hr endurance format scheduled for the canceled April MSR Houston event will be pushed to the June MSR Houston event weekend.
With over seven weeks until the Hallett event and the impact of COVID-19 evolving daily, we will continue to monitor public directives for any potential adjustments to upcoming events and provide any updates.
The CMRA staff and Board appreciates the overwhelming support shown by the racing community and looks forward to returning to competition as quickly as possible
IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY!!
The events previously scheduled for the March 13 - 15 NOLA Motorsport Park event weekend that were moved to the April MSR Houston weekend will now be moved to the June MSR Houston event weekend scheduled for June 19 - 21 and will replace the events previously scheduled for that weekend. Revised schedule information can be found on the SCHEDULE PAGE on the CMRA website.
All pre-entries and entries for the canceled NOLA Motorsport Park event that were moved to the April MSR Houston event weekend will now be moved to the May event weekend to be held at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit scheduled for May 22 - 24. Endurance Team Owners with outstanding pre-entries and entries for the canceled NOLA 8hr race will receive a $130 credit that can be used for future endurance events.
We are now reaching out to all impacted competitors regarding these outstanding race entries. We have created the attached fillable Request for Refund Form specifically for the canceled events. REQUEST FOR REFUND OF ENTRIES FOR CANCELED MARCH NOLA / APRIL MSRH.
If you require a refund for Saturday and/or Sunday race entries for the canceled event at NOLA Motorsport Park please complete the attached form and email to admin@cmraracing.com. If the original payment was by credit/debit card, the refund will be credited back to the card account. If the original payment was by cash or check, the refund in the form of a CMRA issued bank check will be mailed to the entrant or registered endurance team owner. This will be a full refund. NO admin fee will be charged.
NOTE: If you are unable to attend the May 22 - 24 Hallett event and would like a credit applied to another event weekend, please email Alexandra Howard admin@cmraracing.com to make those arrangements.
