From Forum Rules and FAQ at

* Respect your fellow members. We do not tolerate rudeness, insults, or 'trolling'. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be banned without warning. We (at least many of we "members") take pride in the fact that the CMRA has historically been a 'family friendly' and even 'member friendly' organization. IMHO many of us would like to preserve that positive aspect of the club in spite of (or perhaps because of) the changing world around us.
IMHO this forum is a part of the 'face' of the organization,
including the "Private" forum. I understand that forum posts are not official missives of the club management, but they are made by members of 'the family', and as in any family, sometimes individual members need to be reminded of their obligations when they speak under the label of 'the family', as they do when posting on this forum with the CMRA logo at the top of the page.
I post to ask that the BoD and Forum Administrators take a more pro-active role in policing (i.e.
deleting) posts which are not in compliance with the explicitly stated rule and spirit of the club. I further urge that 'asterisk games' intended to circumvent the spirit of the rule not be excused, but be treated as the same as explicit spelling. Obviously, that would mean a follow-up PM to the wayward member explaining the reason and reminding them of their obligations when they choose to post at this 'family gathering'.
I'm no prude, but I do believe there is value in decorum in civil discourse. IMHO there is absolutely nothing that needs to be said on this forum or which is enriched by using language which one would not use in normal conversation with your mother or small kids.
This sub-forum title is "Questions for ....", so here's the question "Will the BoD consider imposing even more work on Forum Administrators by directing a more pro-active approach to enforcement of the letter and spirit of Forum Rules?"
