    Accept Paypal for Pre-Entries?

I searched the forum and didn't see anything on this topic but currently one can fax, email, or mail a pre-entry form with credit card information in open text.

What about adding support for paypal? It's easy for all parties involved and would be a secure method for those wanting to email their pre-entry. Plus it has the benefits of fraud prevention, transaction history, and detailed tracking. Fees may be slightly higher than CC companies but a convenience fee could be added to recover costs.

A full online registration system would be ideal, but I recognize the costs of a custom-built solution are prohibitive.

I always put "Will call with CC details" on the forms I email and then I call Nancy (or soon just the CMRA office :( ) and provide the CC info over the phone.

We (I was part of the group helping the BoD) investigated an online registration system and #1 it could not meet our complex event structure requirements and #2 it was probably going to be more expensive because we had to use them for all CC processing plus pay them. If we really wanted to get one, we'll probably need to build it from scratch.

    I wouldn't mind a PayPal option though.

The club does not accept PayPal at this time.

You can send in your forms and leave the payment information blank. Then give me a call with the information.

Again, I'm in the office full time, so the quickest way to get a response to a question is to contact me directly at the office.
