Thread: "FINALIZED" 2019 CMRA Class Structure!

  1. #21
Up until now in the rulebook there hasn't been a specific rule about the R3 and its displacement, just that they're legal for ULWGP. I am all about the rules and exploiting them to the Nth degree. 300ccs is 300ccs from a rules standpoint, so 320 or 321 is above the limit. The new rules should specify accordingly.

    You're quite welcome, John.

IMO it shows a noble best effort by our BoD / Director of Competition to keep-up with external economic realities and resultant industry / contingency / sponsorship trends (the other part of the context which likely had the greatest influence on the evolution of BBE series' across the sport, not just within the CMRA).

Anyone else remember the once-thriving WERA and Moto-ST BBE series' ? All tremendous endurance events long-gone, IMO victims of the same external forces that eventually wrought the end of our BBE series (for now, says the die-hard optimistic fan of BBE racing ;-)

OK, the post says 300cc. I think that is great to include the R3.

As far as the ULWE goes allowing Formula rules or even SBK rules is not a good idea imo.

The reality check is that BBE went to SBK rules and some crappy SS rules came into affect that did not save the BBE from the SBK rules. :P
