You may have already heard by now, but just in case --- WE WON AGAIN! :) Here is the press release on Roadracingworld.com:
http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/...orld-speedway/

Just like the title of the article says, the Village Idiots mounted an impressive charge from behind to take the win by a mere 3.8 seconds in an 8-Hour race. We were leading the race by 2 laps at the halfway point, but a small crash set us back briefly. We quickly made repairs and were back on the track in no time, fighting for another Overall Win.
Results can be seen from the main results page http://www.cmraracing.com/results.html and the following links below:

This year, we added Garet Tomlinson to our team to replace Blake Cochran who has retired from racing. Garet is a former Red Bull Rookies Cup rider, a fast expert in the CMRA Sprint Series, and brings a lot of endurance experience from riding with the Lone Star Track Days Endurance Team and GMAN Racing.

This past weekend was a 4-hour race and so because of our expanded gas tank and ability to do 1.5 hour stints, this meant that one of our 4 riders would have to sit out this race. Brandon Cleland humbly accepted the honors and so it was myself, Garet, and John Orchard, in that order. I started the race and had us in 2nd and 3rd place off-and-on, but it was Garet who did not disappoint. He took to the track for the second stint and proceeded to put us in first place and set the fastest lap of the race. JohnO had the all important task of maintaining our lead and bringing us home at the checkered flag.

Thank you John Orchard, Garet Tomlinson, and Brandon Cleland for your fast riding and great attitudes.
