Go Texas!
CCS (club racing (not AMA or even Formula USA) result at Daytona)
Expert GTO: 1. Steve Rapp, Perris, Calif., Suzuki; 2. John Haner, Pearland, Texas, Suzuki 1000; 3. Larry Pegram, Hebron, Ohio, Yamaha 1000.
Not to restart the issue (neccessarily) but this is basic grass-roots club level racing, right?
Yes, this is sort of a warmup for Daytona. But you will see some big names there getting a jump on setup. So load up and go follow Haner around, maybe show him the fast line. It's just club racing.... At Daytona.

Wish I could go club racing with John.....At Daytona.... and keep up with him.
Fact, John Haner beat Larry Pegram...
Don't care if it was YSR racing, that's cool.
Yes, Larry rode for factory Ducati. He is not slow. But, he is not as fast as our John Haner! Not in this race.

I do believe John and Heath deserve mention regardless....they're there now and will be in the 200. I'd cheer on anybody from TX no matter what level they race. I also saw Kevin Mays name on the roster. Kudos to him as well.

Dude,
You're wrong for that on SOOO many levels.
While we're on the subject, maybe the CMRA should look into canceling contingency, trophy presentations, and the awards banquet. After all, it's just "basic grass-roots club level racing". Oh yeah, no pride or smiles after doing well in a race, either.
Congrats to the CMRA riders at Daytona,
ty
I agree with Ty, I always feel pretty good
after a win or doing well in our club And I will promise you anybody that says Daytona is all about Hp is wrong. Learning where and how to draft on the high bank is a skill and turn one is not for the meek! Not to mention jumping the
Imsa curbing in the chicane entrance.
Ty,
>> You're wrong for that on SOOO many levels.<<
Okay. Which levels? I'm tickled to see Haner running up front and would have loved to see him beat Rapp. My point was that the CCS podium read like an AMA podium.

I don't know how you got from here to there. What's the connection between my observation and this statement?
Maybe I'm just still ticked at Rapp for almost running me over in the pits at Daytona last year on his pitbike.
Seriously, I know that Haner has more talent in his little finger than I do in my whole body. I'm glad to see him doing well.
I see we all missed your point. That it looked the grid had more AMA privateers then ccs racers. To bad it went over our heads because it was a good point.
