Usable transponders

I just picked up a MYLAPS AMB TRANX 160 (orange) and am wondering if this will work with the CMRA system.

Unfortunately no. A list of compatible transponders can be found in section 3.14 Transponders on pg 10 of the 2025 CMRA Sporting and Technical Rules
