They lapped me on my 100% stock Grom. I was also afraid to lean in with the OEM tires which are just awful. Mods and tires will be installed for TWS.

So then what sorts of mods would be needed to stay with the pack? Is new suspension a must?
Suspension & tires for sure... Some other odds and ends too. Ask Ryan Andrews or David Tiede. They know more than anyone about these things. This was my first race in this class. Need to get my bike moving!
the most important thing you need to do on these Groms is ride the hell out of them...
Well I can try and do that.
and don't worry about being the first to drop/crash one... it's already been done a few times to varying degrees :-)
"varying degrees" is one way to put it...
I low sided mine in the bus stop at Hallett. They crash fairly well!
Mine may have been the first... first round at ECR... low side out of 11... dropped it on top of me :-0 scuffed the plastic on the left side, turned the clutch lever guard around, and... well, ya, that was it. I won't mention names, but someone else did a little more damage to theirs @ ECR the next round there...
you guys and your cute low sides...
IF YOU'RE GOING TO WASTE THE BRONZE, YOU GOT TO DO IT BIG!!!!
