Woot, over 200 miles on the Grom finally (almost 1/2 way there) no shifting issues with engine running, and was able to maintain 58mph on level ground (for over 1/4 mile until I had to brake to turn) after coming down off a hill! ya, that is exciting for me!
Another forum member helped me, now I just have to see if john Hutchison will mount dunlops.

The stock VEE rubbers are not that bad... I raced them to podium finishes at TWS and Hallett and also raced them on a tight azz kart track... They never put a foot wrong with the stock suspension...
Years ago, the Bridgestone 601SS were worth a second a lap on a 1/2 mile cart track on 65/85s ridden by legit riders as compared to the Dunlop TT92s... Names like Wagnon, Sperry, Meador, Fisher, etc. could attest... They are a legitimate 12" race compound tire... I have the TT93s right now and although they have done nothing wrong, they do not "feel" as sweet as the 'stones did to me years ago...
Years ago ago when the min scene was booming, I tried Michelins, pirellis, IRC, Savas, Shinkos, dunlops, and Bridgestones... The only tire that worked and was fast on tracks in OK, TX, AL, SC, AR, etc. were the 'stones...
Out of curiosity was anyone on upgraded tires at tws and hallett?
Ryan was on full suspension and Dunlops... he was toying with us until it came time to wave goodbye...
at ECR, full suspension was worth about 7 seconds a lap...
I need suspension but that probably won't happen till next year.
