Did I miss the announcement of the the overall 10 expert?
I wanted to post a few well deserved thanks for 2014.
Thank you to the CMRA for creating the Classic 500 class. It gave us old guys on our old RD400's and other vintage Moto a place to race here in Texas. AHRMA is all over the place and most races are not easy to get to. You gotta pick the big ones you like such as Daytona, Road America and Barber.
Thank You to my fellow CMRA/AHRMA racers, Ricky Pearson, Rob Rowland and Mike Milligan, who joined CMRA this year to participate with me in Classic 500. I've run races alone and it’s not as much fun as the close racing we have while out there together.
Thank You to Shandra Crawford for doing a great job on the trophies this year. They were unique to each race and certainly involved some thought and serious effort. I am not one of the folks with a trailer full of trophies from a long racing career and to be honest....even at 48...trophies are cool...
Thank You to Cycle Gear Racing and Cycle Gear on I-45 south in Houston. Your sponsorship was a great help this year.
And last but certainly not least….. A huge Thank You to my ever supportive and tolerant better half Donna. Racing still gives her a bit of the willies and she does not come out to watch but she knows how much fun it is for me and she says go for it.
