They plan on shutting down longer after the repave. The issue is that they received a bad mix of asphalt. Similar to what happened at Hallett. As stated above the track owner is working with the contractor to correct the problem.

Its really sketchy, regardless of the direction. Im not an asphalt expert, but I would rather not run and save wear n tear. Then ride after a repave, provided cmra could secure a weekend. That idea stinks for those that schedule, plan, and budget way in advance....but i cant run full out on what i rode there recently.
So, after all the drama, the track isn't all that bad. Its totally ridable.
Exactly! I was even guilty of doubting MSRC without seeing/ riding it for myself. I believe we need to come together as a whole club and build/ support one another. Instead of discouraging a novice who are on fence of going to an event or new and just easily persuaded by internet trolls. CMRA is a luxury for some, for me (only speaking for myself) it is necessity for my mental health. If I do not get my fix once a month: I get irritable, restless, & discontent at work and more importantly at home with my wife.
I am not on social media but a few times a week. 2 weeks ago the post about the track conditions was complete bullsh*t! The track was in great condition, verse the Angleton facility.
I believe someone should be able to eliminate the CMRA trolls from the groups on social media. If you are not lifting up the club and promoting CMRA as your own business, then do not say anything at all.
Just my 2 cents, I am not trying to start controversy whatsoever. Eliminate the cancer and see if it spreads as fast as before.
