so... are you saying a Solo 30 for F5 and one for F4?
or, just a 6 lap sprint a piece?
i have to say, as a parent that is looking to get his kid a fair amount of seat time without getting him killed by an over zealous 250, anything less than the Solo 30 is hard to get too excited about...

I've contacted Kawasaki several times about this and I have received the same response every time "not interested".
F6 and F7 run at the same time as F5 so they don’t take up any extra time in the schedule. Low entries in a class that is paired with another class with good entries doesn’t cost us time or money to keep it going. There was a time that Clubman only had 1 or 2 entries per event and we didn’t get rid of it. Wait don’t you race clubman Jesse?
Yeah, i do, and im really disappointed that more people dont enter it also. i think Formula rules would help this class...
but i will be the first to agree if that class gets the axe also due to poor entries.
i just realized i have been a little thick in the latter parts of this discussion...
if anything further could include a crayon drawing i would greatly appreciate it...
anyway...
i do not like getting rid of the F7 and F6 classes just because those really are the starting blocks for the little dudes... but, even if they were removed, it would not change what i would put my kid on the interest of learning how to race safely...

this for clubman... in a big way... it damn sure would not hurt the class...
I do like Jesse's Ninja Cup idea.....reminds me of the XR1200 series or the CAMMRA XR100 spec classes. Ninja Cup could become CMRA's spec class, a middleground between the MiniGP spec classes for kids and the AMA XR100 spec class for serious racers. I know Kawa would likely be tough to talk aboard, but if it was truly a spec class of only Kawa bikes, it may help open them up.
An interesting read, the article starting on pg 26 about CAMMRA's XR100 class and it's benefits to new riders, building skills on slower stock bikes that are low maintenance and cheap to race. Seems to me that a Ninja spec class would be kinda the same thing for adults as this class is for kids....
Next Moto Champion - July 2012
Maybe we could pool resources from a DFW/Austin/Houston Kawi dealers to put up a cash purse and discounts on motorcycles/parts to racers wishing to compete....
Along those lines, Jesse, I was thinking some sponsor dealers and shops could kinda have a fixed-price or discounted race-prep package, everything you need to go from the dealer floor to the track.....safety-wiring, track fairings, etc. Makes it as simple as possible, introduces those new racers to those shops where they can continue to get service. It's not something that would go together overnight, but with the right attitude, I'm sure something could be made that would be beneficial to everyone.

If the rules made sense I would've run the entire season. I know of at LEAST 2 others with the same mindset.
Speaking of clubman
this....

1000cc limit for aircooled push rod multis pretty please
You know because there is a totally legal 1098 jr running around in clubman
how about any pre 1985 triumph motorcycle is clubman legal.
The only ones who can protest are the other riders in the class...
I'm not sayin'...
bring the s***...
I agree johnny. They let an RS125 on the grid in clubman in 2009.

I can remember when Clubman returned and Clayton Schutz and I had Ape RS250's. It was so cool to lap Falt.
While we're at it, lets getnrid of that silly "no sleving/destroking" rule too. Ive seen some really cool small bore SV and R6 projects out there.
Perhaps a gentlemanly agreement to run what ya brung and not be pansies about it would be suitable. 10 bikes on the grid would be a huge accomplishment.

Seems that'd be a good way to at least see what the larger possibilitites are.
Up to the Clubman racers to promote that idea among friends that have been holding back in 'respect' of the rule book and see what shows up.
What the heck ... today's protest fodder could lead to tomorrow's rule modification.
Ok. Ill start. Clubman now has two rules. 1200cc air cooled limit. 500cc water cooled limit. Any motor/frame/bodywork/suspension combination. Its now called Formula 3
Beat me within those parameters and ill pay you $100
thats pretty neat.
forced induction legal?
i can get behind Formula 3...

IE - 500cc aircooled with turbo/250cc watercooled with turbo. compound forced induction encouraged.
Maybe a question for Walter or someone can find this but, Way Back in the early 80's the CRRC had an F3 class. It was mostly made up of the then popular Kawasaki GPZ 305.Anybody remember this bike?
I do not recall the other bikes that could be in compliance to compete on the same level or displacement as the F3 rules. A look into the class structure of then may be able to find such bikes of today that would make up an F3 class.
The new Ninja 300 will no doubt show up at sometime or another.
I had a GPZ305, they were very cool. Belt drive too.

...so you want Clubman to have more displacement than Formula 2?
I could understand a 1200cc air cooled PUSHROD limit...
Yes. Pushrod.

our work here is done...
Could you understand unlimited air cooled singles in formula trim?

Remember that special class in school, that all the people on the short bus attended? Clubman is the same thing, but with motors.
