Nice. Keep it clean and keep the costs down.
I don't think it makes a damn bit of difference in performance. I just put them on my bikes for less stress on the gears and clutch which keeps those replacement costs down. Plus, they are now being included with the purchase of the fuel control modules such as Bazzaz. Banning them seems excessive and unnecessary.
Fuel cut, ignition cut or wrist cut... it's all about the same for lap times and is easy on the tranny if your wrist is snappy (some guys on here have a well developed forearm...).
Would this be legal? I figured it should be for big boys...

Lightweight 500 cc class riders:
When the rules are finalized, and the costs come back to me, I will be posting up finalized package deals for CBR500R race bikes in your choice of color, delivered to the track of your choice, by Altus Motorsports in Oklahoma http://www.altusmotorsports.com/ For Texas riders, we will be provided with an MSO, so no sales taxes will be assessed at the dealership. Oklahoma residents, you'd have to add sales taxes and registration. These bikes will be intended specifically for use in CMRA sprint and endurance racing. George is very supportive of racing already, mainly Motocross at the regional level, and is very keen to have a long lasting presence supporting the CMRA.

I saw one CBR500 at TWS already, and Jaret Nassaney, George's son, from Altus will be riding one of these CBR's with CMRA in 2014. I have one already, another racer friend of mine bought one yesterday, and 2 more are spoken for. So, I know we'll have 5 or 6 on the grid at MSRH.
Altus will be stepping up to offer class sponsorship and with enough bikes on the grid, Honda should be throwing some cash in for top finishers for owners listed on the MSO (aka, they want you to buy a new bike) similar to the $750 contingency per race!!! Honda provided to CBR250 riders.
Here is a very rough approximation of how race packages might look. This is basically an at cost + $100 type deal. Basically, add race tires and gas and go race. Nothing is locked in stone, and any input is appreciated. Near-cost packages to upgrade your already owned 500 will be available as well. We (BRAWP Racing) have no interest in making money on the deal, we just want to get a field of ultra-competitive and semi-equally built CBR500's to the grid starting at MSR-H at the best price for our friends!!!!
