Re: Bentley McCoy - US Navy
Hello CMRA
Yep, young Bentley McCoy, who probably holds the CMRA record for most crashes in a single lap, has joined the US Navy. He ships out to boot camp Tuesday at noon.
For Dallasites who want one last chance to razz Bentley before he finishes growing-up, we are having an informal going away tonight, 7pm at 10031 Gateway Lane, Dallas, Texas.
Until he drops off the civilian net for 8 weeks, his cell is 214-642-5852
BTW, both he and I know who Rich Desmond is.
And I want to give a huge thanks to uncounted numbers of CMRA races & family for all the good times and love and coaching you so powerfully gave Bentley.
Ride on folks, and Happy Hunting, whatever your game may be!
I assume he didn't mention knowing me when he applied.
Seriously, tell him congratulations for me, wishing him all the best.

Good luck to you, Bentley. Thank you for signing up to keep this country safe!
And if read that a USN ship has been highsided, I'll know you were at the wheel. http://www.motohouston.com/forums/im.../kekekegay.gif I kid, I kid.

Re: Bentley McCoy - US Navy
Simple update -
Bentley made the required "I'm here and safe." phone call about 2am Wednesday morning. I had delivered him to the Recruiter's custody about noon on Monday, so I guess he's already learned the hurry-up and wait strategy some of us remember so well...
Thanks for all the good wishes, Ben read them all but was too busy saying good-bye to most of the young women in the metroplex to write a note.
Will post a link to the Navy Times first time he crashes a ship..
