Re: *** ZAC CHAPMAN'S CONDITION ***
I read this thread every day and every single day I am in awe of what I see. You can't look at this thread and tell me that people don't care about one another anymore! There are days when I think we are lost as a country and as people but this gives me hope that we have a chance, that my kids have a chance! It feels sooo good to see all of you come together for a friend, competitor, stranger and for no other reason then to just help! It is truly amazing!
I am very proud, honored, humbled, and just down right happy to be among you folks!
Keep it up gang! You people are awesome!
Is there any word on how close the Chapman's are to having the immediate amount they need to get Zac home?
Re: *** ZAC CHAPMAN'S CONDITION ***
Another $1250 came in through the store and over $1000 via other means since last report, so as best I can tell that should put them close to or over the amount needed for the plane ride.
People's generosity throughout the country and all over the world is simply amazing.
Re: *** ZAC CHAPMAN'S CONDITION ***
Hi all,
As is often the case, OnRoad OffRoad will be up at Cresson this Saturday doing suspension setups for Ridesmart customers.
We will be going up to MSR Cresson early Friday evening (7pm) doing the same suspension setups for both track-day riders and the general riding public as a benefit to fellow injured local racer Zac Chapman.
OnRoad OffRoad will be donating $10 of each standard $30 setup Friday evening to a fund assisting with Zac's transport and/or care, as well as collecting general donations for Zac. Come on out Friday evening and get your bike set up before the busy track-day, and encourage your riding friends to come along as well. Everyone gets a better motorcycle, and helps out Zac at no additional cost to themselves. The offer is open to anyone, group or individual, so if you know any riding groups or boards you could post on, feel free to spread the word. Thanks for your support. Feel free to call Roger with any questions at 512 636 0960. Hope this can help.
Thanks!
Roger

Re: *** ZAC CHAPMAN'S CONDITION ***
Roger,
Do you mean THURSDAY evening before the trackday on Friday?
Sorry Roger, I was thinking about the wrong trackday.

Great News! That is awesome!
Re: *** ZAC CHAPMAN'S CONDITION ***
Hi Paul,
No, I mean this coming Friday evening (the 28th) before the Saturday trackday on the 29th, which I will be working at, and thus unable to attend the big Zac benefit that day.
Re: *** ZAC CHAPMAN'S CONDITION ***
As it stands now we have $2750 donated through product purchase at af1racing.com, and $10,500 wired or paypal-ed into the Zac bank account. There was more sent through paypal or wired that I am not directly aware of. Please note that while this seems like alot of money, this barely covers the flight home, and the Chapmans will have 50x times these expenses by the end. Please continue to donate if you can.
For those of you who have not had the chance to donate yet, AF1 Racing will have some pitbull front and rear stands with custom Zac Attack Graphics for sale prior to Cresson on our store to be delivered to the track. These will be sold for normal retail with profits going to the Chapmans.
As an extra motivator we have hired some thugs to go through the pits Friday night and impound all stands that are not locked up. They can be purchased back with sticker for $50 each. (This last part may be a bit of a lie)
Thank you to all who have donated to help out the family.
Re: *** ZAC CHAPMAN'S CONDITION ***
Fred and Jon,
I just spoke with Brian McLaughlin, President of the Red Flag Fund http://redflagfund.org/. I know he's been trying to get in touch with you but knows you've been overwhelmed. The fund assists with medical expenses for injured racers not covered by insurance.
He is in the process of getting board approval for up to $3,000 for Zac medical expenses. For tax and legal reasons, they may not be able to contribute cash and would need to be billed directly by the medical provider for up to that maximum amount, but that should not be difficult to arrange and I will be happy to help coordinate that.
I've asked Brian to get back to me with the amount as soon as he has final ok, but you may want to get in touch with him directly at 414-550-8634.
Yuliya
