Then just remove the app and reinstall it. If it's like iOS, you be promoted for for notification options when you first launch it. There's no data stored in Race Monitor, so you won't lose anything.

brandon,
sounds like you are on an android phone? you have to be in the "race information" screen for a particular event in order to select "receive notifications from race staff" on the android app.
I don't know if there is a way to get to it when a CMRA event isn't currently active on the app, but you can select a different event and test the process out:
(1) select an event
(2) hit the little 'i' information icon at the top of the screen
(3) tap the right arrow to get to notifications section
(4) toggle the Notifications Enabled button on the upper right
I just happened to hit 'yes' on Saturday when the event was still active, so it worked for me when walter pushed the notification out.
Warmers still on... Where's second call?
Race Monitor allows us to send out push notifications any time we want. The down side is that there is still a chance of operator error. If I can get everyone that has a smartphone to allow push notifications that would cover some of the paddock. We also have CMRAnet that broadcasts the live timing screens to pit road and a portion of the paddock. I can try to expand that coverage. The ideas about tones and airhorns sound good in theory but the application is a different thing all together. A tone over the radio and FM is only going to be as loud as the volume level that the scanner or radio is set to. We would have to have airhorns positioned all over each facility in order to cover everyone. We'll try the push notifications at the next round but the best bet is to just pay attention to the schedule and keep track of what race is on track at any given time.
Received the push on my Motorola Droid. This is nice, but I'd rather have the air horn solution! Half the time my phone is in a cupholder or turned off to save my battery.
Thanks Scott, I pulled up a live race and the Notifications is already set to "On" not sure why I didn't get it.
I received it about 5 seconds after I sent the notification.
