Wonderful news! We continue to keep him and your family in our thoughts and we're sending lots of positive energy his way for his rehab.

Here's a picture of Pops doing some psychical therapy today. He started his second week here and is improving so much every day. He has been in very good spirits these last couple of weeks, and has been talking a lot and cracking lots of jokes. He has all the nurses and doctors laughing with his humorous personality, which a lot of you who know him, know that that's him in a nut shell. They are going to take back to the hospital tomorrow morning for a follow up with the ortho and check on his pelvis and shoulder. Hopefully they will give us good news so he can start working on his left leg and left arm. He tries to use them to support his balance but the PT'S at TIRR don't want him to until the ortho see him and evaluates him.
Pops has been been doing so good with his progress and healing. Everyone has been super happy and say that he is so far ahead of schedule with his healing. They are still taking things slowly and making sure hes getting the full attention on what he still needs to accomplish for his recovery. Really, right now pops has a lot of trouble with his short term memory, but other than than that it looks like he has control of his legs and arms. Because of the lack of muscle, he does get tired really quick after the psychical activities but it's normal. The short memory loss is also normal at this point and that's what they are working on him every day. He's actually been talking about getting back on the bike after he gets out but we will have to have a serious talk with him as a family and try to keep him involved some way, but if it doesn't work then hey, we are all racers and he loves being out with you guys racing. I will understand him. But right now that's the besides the point. Now it's continuing to improve and get better psychically and getting him stronger and stronger. I have told him about everyone here that has asked about him and has sent messages and he gets tears in his eyes and misses being out there with all of you. Pops has the biggest heart and he absolutely loves every single one of you for all of your support.
Wow! This is great news! Pops is a fighter!!! Such a great man!
