Do not dip magnesium wheels! Magnesium is very porous,( its why they are light) and magnesium is very reactive. When wheels are built they are purged in an inert atmosphere to drive everything out of the pores. If you dip them you will never get the stripper out of the pores and it will probably eat the magnesium. Check with Randy White this weekend at Cresson. He is a powder coater and has had some bad and good experiences with stripping magnesium.
