RideSmart and RoadRacing World Track Day Pics

Roadracing World has asked RideSmart to provide them with some photos for their Track Day Directory.

Dave thinks that it will create a lot of fun and buzz for the members of each of the 4 local forums (motodfw, wfo, motohouston, and hpc) and the CMRA members to post their favorite “typical track days” photos from a RideSmart event and then we'll vote for their favorite 2 photos from each forum. Those will be submitted to Road Racing World.

The deadline for photos will be February 20 and the winning photos will be announced February 21.

Ride Smart will post the winning photos of each forum on all five forums February 22.

Roadracing World sent us this info (note that they're not really looking for ON TRACK pics - those are easy to come by):

“We prefer photos that illustrate typical track days, things like rider’s meetings, technical inspection, lunch breaks, workers/officials in action, people loading and unloading their bikes, people working on their bikes, cool and not so cool paddock setups, etc. Schools, we like photos of instructors leading students on the track and instructors and students in the classroom.

"Please also include all available information about each photo so we can write an accurate caption. This includes: correct spelling of the names of the people in the photo, the location (track) where the photo was taken, the date the photo was taken and what the photo shows, just in case it is not as evident to us as it is to you.

"Photos must be high-resolution, which is 300 dpi/ppi at about 4 inches wide. Unedited photos work best. Jpeg format is fine, but “raw” files are also acceptable.

"We ask that you secure the rights for the photos from the photographer and have the photographer send us a release in which they specifically state: “I give Roadracing World Publishing permission to publish my photo(s) in the 2011 Track Day Directory free of charge.”

"Please include the photographer’s name for credit purposes. We will also include their business name or website address.
