First Ever In Club History!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I have been with the club since before either one of my knot heads (kids) were even born. I'm not sure but @ the Hallett round during the GROM race I got to race with both of my kids!! I think this is the first time in the history of the club that a father has raced with his son & daughter at the same time? I have raced all kinds of bikes over the years & had pretty much hung up my leathers for good but getting the chance to race with them was a no brainer! I had an absolute blast with the biggest smile on my face. I've never had as much fun as I did Saturday. A HUGE thanks to Dean Darnell for letting me use his GROM!

Once upon a time there was a CMRA newsletter. I was the last editor and publisher of that newsletter. (I suppose that is a memory of its own.) The newsletter was killed in the name of solvency and budget, but since it's demise I have thought of several very neat concepts for articles. One of the things I've wanted to do was write an article on racers who have raced with their offspring in the same race at the same time. I've doing it now, as you know, Timo, but yours, indeed, may be the first with a father, son and daughter. There are many second generation racers, and that's a cool thing, but being in the same race at the same time? I can say that's just awesome.
I've been putting serious thought into writing an article on the topic and publishing it on my own. I'd like to know names of folks who have raced with their kids in the same race with the CMRA. Harry and Garet Tomlinson, Mark and Ryan Andrews, Sam and Tyler McDonald, Bill Adams and his boys Shawn and Daniel, David and Hope Dahms, David and Jacob Napier, you and Britten and Chandler, myself and Raynie are just some that come to mind with cursory thought. If you know more names, post them up here. Or maybe I'll make a post and ask for name and then conduct interviews, take pix, and publish an article on my own. Or not. After all, who would want to read an article like that, right? I dunno, maybe just about everyone!
remember bud johnson and his two boys.
bud won daytona multiple times, set many track records and invented the internal combustion engine.
