I heard they're ripping up the pavement and making it a dirt track.
Not yet. As a member I'm waiting for more news as well. Right now, there's no published plan I'm aware of, although I've heard a few times a set of investors is 'close' on a plan for the facility.
If I had a dollar for everytime I heard that a set of investors was close to a deal id have almost enough to be an investor close to a deal!
Dang that saddens me :(
Another one bites the dust?
When I win the Lottery……
I didn't mean to imply there's no hope.
I do believe something will be done at ECR. I just don't have the facts.
I hope it gets straightened up...I really do. I enjoy that track a lot.
With that...and having grown up in the area...the soil conditions in that part of the world will always wreck havoc on that place...that and big, heavy race cars rippling the pavement surely won't help.
At any rate...let's all keep our fingers crossed for this place.
We could go back to oak Hill
Oak hill has been totally dug up. The out fit who is working there used the entrance to the track as an ingress / egress to the property itself. Kevin and I drove by a couple months ago. The land closest to the FM road still has it's natural roll and grade. By federal law the mining co. cannot dig within a certain distance of state and federal roads and highways. When it is all done this property could and should be a better site to build a track. The property would be much easier to develop as there are no limited property boundaries (or fence lines) as before. Pick you parcel, design, the sky's the limit, go for it.
