RPS 2003-2007 Officially Closed...
I just wanted to thank everyone that supported RPS over the years. It was a hell of a ride and I am proud of what the company accomplished. In 2003 and 2004, the company kicked down the doors in both the CMRA and MRA action winning over 25 championships in each of its first two years. It just took off from there.
There were so many great moments. From Mark Delano winning 57 races in 2003 to Andy Galindo winning his first expert championships in 2004 and Cory Burleson winning 120+ races in 2005 and the Horizon Award in 2006 is just the start! Shea Fouchek was a good student, and it was great to see him go from provisional novice to Factory Support Team rider in 8 months while serving as his riding coach, mechanic, suspension builder, and agent! I really enjoyed working with Ty Howard in 2004 and 2005. The AMA results as well as the CMRA results were definitely a great accomplishment for both Ty and myself.. I still believe Ty would have finished on the box in Pikes Peak/2005 had the chain adjuster not shattered on the starting grid. I really enjoyed the opportunity to work with NW Honda and build their suspension in 2004/2005 during their final years of winning the #1 plate. It was an honor to work with them. All in all it was a great time and a great ride. In the end over the four and half years the company was open to the public, customers on RPS suspension won over 800 races and 125 regional championships. I hope to be able to do a little bit more for Dustin Doucet and Danny Kelsey next year, but truly RPS is now closed. Thank you to everyone!
Marcus
PS I have asked Jimmy to start yelling at you all a little more often to keep yourselves out of trouble.

Marcus, I wish that when I was younger I had a bike that worked as good as what I have now. I might have been able to do somthing with racing.
Thank you

Re: RPS 2003-2007 Officially Closed...
Marcus,
Thanks for helping me with my suspension in 05. Some weekends I didn't think we would ever get that CBR1000 dialed in, but you always got it working. Good Luck with your new Track!

So I have to ask, just what are you going to do now? Doesn't that leave you with a lot of free time?
Thanks again for all the help in 04 and this year with the Repsol oil for the LSTD Racing team.
Yours,
Chi Chi Rockingham

Andy, you don't have to ask. There will be a press release shortly. Count on it!

Hmmmmm, I see a merger in the works.
Will it be called "The Sum of All Smarts"? Throw us a bone already!

Re: RPS 2003-2007 Officially Closed...
I won't comment on anything (Don't want to Jinx the project), but here is a hint. Sorry for all the logo's, but up until this point EVERYTHING I have ever put on the internet has been stolen/manipulated/plagiarized so I figure if put the logo all over this, at least this may not be. The architect that did the rendering for me could not understand the run-off design on the CAD drawings, so you don't see the proper amount of run-off. Joe must have figured out from some of the rumors going on in the AMA, etc. that yes we are very close to starting.

Re: RPS 2003-2007 Officially Closed...
Also,
I really need to thank three people that made a lot of the early success possible. That would be Josh Lowthorp and Robert Orso who started with me and Leonard Gremillion who worked with me in 2005 and 2006. A lot of 23 hour workdays were completed because of them on at least two occasions we completed over 20 fork and shock services per weekend that I can remember. A lot of 3:00am in morning, "How do these forks feel?" were because of the hard work they put in.
Thank you guys very, very much.

Re: RPS 2003-2007 Officially Closed...
Very cool!
But I think you're going to need more parking! There are more and more transporters, motorcoaches and toy haulers showing up to every CMRA event and we still pale in comparison to the AMA.
And I dig the sand traps! For the really rainy events we can practice with the ol' sand wedge! ;-)
But maximum coolness would be to chill on the balcony at the hotel and watch a professional motorcycle race!
NICE!

Marcus all the best to you,I know I would not have had as much fun on the track if it were not for your abilities and taking the time even though always busy to help me adjust and set up my F3 and other bikes. It has been a pleasure and will surely miss seeing you at the track each event performing your magic.

Re: RPS 2003-2007 Officially Closed...
An extensive list of information will be put out shortly. Track is 2.7 miles and paddock is 23 acres. There are 60 acres of total parking, etc. (So yes, it is funny to think we do not have a large enough paddock or parking). Thanks for the inquiries, but I will wait to answer anything else.

Marcus I see alot of nice real-estate in the center of that track that would make for some good MX racing - ala Daytona?
