Here is a site a friend sent me. It is a vocabulary builder that donates 10 grains of rice to the UN for every correct answer. It is quite entertaining if you are into words. The highest I could maintain was 45.

The level is in the screen with the questions. The number of grains you are causing to be donated are to the right in the little bowl. The site started on October 7th. According to the site 2,628,006,040 grains of rice have been earned as of today. A little work brings this out to 90,620lbs of rice.

Well I got to 36 and 580 grains of rice, but now I need to go back to an English paper I'm supposed to be writing. I love procrastination.

That sucks that they take a point away for every wrong answer, but it takes 4 or 5 right answers to bump your points up. 38 and 1100 grains of rice, I'm doing my part!

what it is, is an adaptive test. It asked you a word and if you get the word right it asks you another of about the same difficulty if you get that right it moves up one level if you get it wrong it moves down one level. The nursing test is like this.
ps my best now is 46 but still avg about 43. There are enough engneering or medical words to keep me afloat.

That was interesting. I could have played all day, being a bit of a word geek (though not as good as I hoped.) I peaked at 43 and sit at 42. Too much time wasted on German lit, it would seem.
I gave up when I didn't even understand the explanation of one I got wrong: usurious = extortionate.
Oh well, back to fighting fueling woes.

Usurious = Usury = charging for the use of money. It has become synonymous with extortion and loan sharking.
extortionate - greatly exceeding bounds of reason or moderation; "exorbitant rent"; "extortionate prices"; "spends an outrageous amount on entertainment"; "usurious interest rate"; "unconscionable spending"
