Ok WHEN WHERE ?????? Tell me more !
OK, is this one of them thar "double secret probation" events? Or do regular folks get to go????
Chris
Must be one of them exclusive organizations, like the Masons or something....
BTW, where the heck is Deep Ellum? Is that anywhere near Deep Sh*t? If so, I've been near there a lot of times!
Deep Ellum is the artsy district in downtown dallas. we had a red bull supermoto event here a month or two ago... given the lack of police (in protest against our mayor) in deep ellum, i'd say its very close to being in deep sh*t.
Ok, someone please give some more details on this. How much, when, where, what classes, etc., etc.. I am within 3 hours of Deep Ellum.
Thanks, Eric Yost

Yamaha TT125 stocker with knobbs ok?
WOOHOO, by golly gosh, that might just be worth the trip! Hope it's doable on cut slicks. Heck, they seemed to work pretty good in the wet. Date, man, we need a date! I MIGHT burn vacation for this fun if I had to. Unfortunately, I work Nov 28-29 and it's too late (three weeks notice) to request vacation, but I could make Dec 6-7 or the following weekend!Quote:Originally posted by jim anderson:

I guess I will have to dust off the XR. I was hoping to finally get a chance to race the 450 in it's natural environment. One of these days there will be a local supermoto scene.
C
The 6th and 7th would be best for me too. However, I will most likely be there either way. I am going to bring 2 bikes that should cover almost every class you have listed. I think I can compete if not podium on the new 88cc xr 50 super motard!!!!!!!!!! Let the trash talk BEGIN!!! TCS?????
Later, Eric
Okay if supermoto is putting street tires on a dirtbike, Can I race if I put dirt tires on my XR powered YSR? :p
The date is the weekend of Dec 6-7.
I have not confirmed costs at this time...stay tuned
Jim A.
Does your 125 stock class mean stock = no aftermarket pipes/ aftermarket carbs/ no engine mods?
Ed Beckley
Okay, I need contact info, directions, time schedule, etc. Maybe post the jpeg of a flyer, whatever it takes to get me there with two bikes.
I will definitly be there sporting a stock xr-50 motard.
Once I had a girfriend she meant the world to me. She went down to deep ellum and she ain't what she used to be.

Too funny...thanks!
Saturday night will feature Adult grudge races and general mayhem for all..
Jim A.
Jim,
I need a point of clarification. Is this a kids event or an adult event, or both? I think it is great for the kids and I plan on bringing my son who is 8 yrs to ride in a couple of events. I was hoping however to see more adult classes than just grudge racing saturday night. Please don't think I am complaining, either way I am going to attend. I know several others who will also be very interested in your response. Several guys I know who are planning to come don't even have kids and are planning on racing all day.
Thanks, Eric
Yeah, me too, but I did see this posted, so I figured it'd be Sunday after we're working off the hangovers? Quote:Originally posted by Eric Yost:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone....This is John Thode, I'm over at Jim Andersons hangin out doin a little riding...drinking and alot of other things that end in ing. I just wanted to let everone know that this little get together next weekend is for hard core Outlaw types only! Please do not come expecting anything but adult oreinted 50cc to 150cc maddogg style racing, no trophies, no ambulance, no toilet, no anything that whining *** people are going to want. Jim will have his kids there and I'm sure we will be able to accomidate some kids but, once again this is the Outlaw Maddogg World Cup...not sanctioned by the FIM.
Thode
WE GOT A COUPLE OF GUYS READY 2 GO RACE. IS IT GONNA BE ALL ROADRACE COURSE? STREET TIRES? LET US KNOW.
OK GUYS, WHAT ARE THE CLASSES GOING TO BE? AND DEFINE "50"CLASS FOR ME CAUSE HERE AT CLASSIC HONDA , A "50" CAN BE MANY DIFFERENT THINGS. AND IF ANY OF YOU GUYS NEED ANY THING LET ME KNOW SOMETIME THIS WEEK SO I CAN BE SURE TO BRING IT WITH US NEXT WEEKEND.
ALSO CAN WE GET AN EXACT ADDRESS SO WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR, COMING FROM TYLER.

How bout 80cc two strokes??????? Let me know before I bring it.Quote:Please do not come expecting anything but adult oreinted 50cc to 150cc maddogg style racing, no trophies,
WELL I WAS JUST WANTING TO KNOW "EXACTLY" WHAT MODS CAN BE DONE TO A "50" FOR THE "STOCK" CLASS.
WHAT CAN, OR CAN'T, BE DONE FOR "50 MODIFIED" CLASS. DOES "50" CLASS MEAN 10" WHEELS OR CAN YOU RUN 12" WHEELS? DOES IT MEAN ANY DISPLACEMENT AS LONG AS STOCK CASES ARE UTILIZED?
I AM TRYING TO BUILD ME SOMETHING TO RIDE THIS WEEKEND SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I CAN ,OR CAN'T,DO.
SHANE
Yeah, that's a good question. It lists 100cc modified, too, but can bore diameter be modified? If so, I can have LOTS of fun beyond "dash for cash".Quote:Originally posted by SHANE E THORN:

If not, oh, yeah, it's a 100cc bore, sure, yeah, that's it.....
I was going to bring the KX along for Scott McDermott to ride in the dash for cash if it's going to be legal. I hate to scare away all the four strokers with that thought..... But, hey, neither Scott nor I have ever tried real motard. THAT'S the main attraction here.
BRING THAT 2 SMOKER ON JACK, I'LL EVEN RIDE A "50" AGAINST IT! HE HE HE
I HAVE AN XR 100 I'M TRYING TI GET READY PLUS A COUPLE OF THE "LITTLE GUYS" FOR SOME FUN.
REALLY THERE SHOULDN'T BE A DISPLACEMENT CLASS IT SHOULD BE WHEEL DIAMETER CLASSES.
10" WHEEL CLASS = 50 CC STOCK
12" WHEEL CLASS = 50 CC MOD
16" WHEEL CLASS = XR 100 STOCK
OTHER = XR 100 MOD (17" WHEELS ARE NOT NORMALLY ALLOWED IN A TRUE MADDOG CLASS AT FLAT TRACK EVENTS)
THIS WOULD LET THE GUYS WHO HAVE INVESTED IN AN 88CC BORE KIT FOR THEIR 50 RUN IN THE 10' WHEEL CLASS AND BE SOME WHAT COMPETITIVE. IT IS REALLY KIND OF UNFAIR FOR THESE GUYS TO HAVE INVESTED IN A COUPLE OF PERFORMANCE PARTS TO ONLY HAVE TO RUN AGAINST A "HIGHLY TUNED" XR 50.
JUST MY .02
SHANE
ALSO THE 10" WHEEL CLASS SHOULD BE AN AUTO CLUTCH CLASS.
ANOTHER .02
SHANE
Actually, it's up to John. I don't see this as all that organized rules wise and wouldn't wanna see someone turned away from having fun just because of the size of his.......wheels, yeah, wheels. To me, 100cc modified is whatever you can do with stock frame and stock motor cases and cylinder. Displacement should be limited to 150cc. That would allow the TTRs in the modded classes, even CRF150s. An exception to stock rules could be allowed for the TTRs though. Stock is stock, except maybe for tires and maybe suspension. That's pretty simple and hard to cheat with, well, much anyway. My own XR is running 16" wheels, no problem there, but I wouldn't rule out 17s. So what they can run slicks. Lots of good that's going to do in the dirt. Besides, I can tell you if the temps are low, slicks are no advantage, they'll never heat up and will slide everywhere on the little bikes.
Just my two cents of course. I plan on coming if there's a class for my bike. I wanna try some mini tard stuff and have some fun. I'm already practicing the beer thing in my driveway and down the sidewalk. I'm getting pretty steady with that cup! If there's no class for my bike, though, I'll save the gas. Just like to have it clarified before so I will know. Rules should be simple and lax IMHO for such an event, inclusive rather than exclusive. Ain't like there's going to be Red Bull Supermoto team scouts there or something.... Perhaps there might be a Shiner Brewery beer drinking team scout there? Never know...
WELL I'LL BE THERE ANYWAYS AND I'M SURE I CAN GET SOMETHING IN A CLASS, GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO BRING THE WHOLE FLEET FROM THE SHOP. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE ANYHOW.
SHANE
Shane,
I was about to call you and tell you to look at the board. Going to be an awsome time. I will faxe you the sheet and e-mail you some store front pictures from the shop. I might have you bring a big bore kit and front suspension. I will let you know.
Later, ERic
