Do you support the CMRA?
It costs a lot to run the CMRA and we should support our club every way we can. Entry fees, gate fees, and race entries are just a few ways we support the CMRA. But, supporting the club also means supporting each other. We all know to contact Jim or Marcus with suspension needs but how about finding help with a computer crash, a construction job, or (in my profession) moving a motorcycle or freight from place to place. We all have talents that someone else can benefit from and we need to use our forum/club to support each other. A pat on the back after a hard fought endurance or sprint battle is just as important as offering your business needs to those racers who might be able to help you. Working together as racers and business people helps support the CMRA and our passion to race motorcycles. Just a little something to remember the next time something comes up that might require the services of a fellow racer.

Re: Do you support the CMRA?
Really great post. It is really important to keep your money circulating with the same people that are spending it to support the CMRA. It will help keep our community healthy and populated.
This is a great thread to post up the business you own or the profession your in that a CMRA member could possible use one day. I don't feel like this should be some big discount page but mostly just a "Hey if your in Dallas and you need a air conditioner give us a call!". It would be great if we could all get discounts on whatever needs we have but that really doesn't help the person doing the service.

Re: Do you support the CMRA?

Depends on the kind of virus. If you are running anti-virus software, try rebooting into "SAFE MODE with Networking" and then scan your harddrive with your antivirus software. Make sure that your antivirus signatures are up to date. If that does not work, find your operating system install disc, and reinstall your operating system. (Make sure that you back up your data first and be warned that you may also be backing up the virus, depending on what kind it is)
Good luck!

Re: Do you support the CMRA?
did all that... no dice...
the install disc would not wipe the C:... said i did not have enough space which made no sense and still does not, so, i had to partition, which, got it running for a bit... now back to nada...
i really want to reformat through dos and then do a totally fresh install, but, it has been years and years since i have worked with dos and i am more than a little leery of it...
i am sure i can take it somewhere and pay the bill to get it working, but, with the time of the year it has not fit into the plans... this thread made me think of it...

Depends on what Operating System you have. If you have XP, this article is very helpful (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/313348). If it is a laptop, you can pull the harddrive and buy one these USB cases(http://www.google.com/products/catalog?h...amp;os=sellers#), plug the drive into your PC, right-click on the drive in My Computer and Format.
You can do this with a SATA drive too if you get the right kind of USB dock (They work for 2.5" and 3.5" drives). These things are extremely helpful when you need to get data off a harddrive from a busted computer to another harddrive or another PC.

Re: Do you support the CMRA?
Yes Ted (and other members), I'm a class sponsor and a transportation broker. I've moved a number of motorcycles...most recently for Bill (Nancy's husband) and Craig Montgomery (a Gixxer 1000 to Saudi Arabia). I've got 18 years in the transportation business and can arrange full truck, rail, ocean, air, LTL, LCL...pretty much everything 1 pallet or bigger. The more business I can generate from the club the easier it is to continue my class sponsorship. ANY contacts you all can provide either personally or if you can refer me to those person(s) who control freight with your companies is greatly appreciated. Working together helps us all, fills the grids, and keeps the CMRA financially healthy!

Re: Do you support the CMRA?
I do replacement cost appraisals, and loss-prevention/minimization inspections, in high value residences for a large well-known and well-respected insurance company (yes, there is such a thing, and my average house is around $4M). 25 years experience, and I give very good realistic reconstruction cost and loss-prevention advice for homeowners (think your house is overinsured? Think again...). I won't go to your house due to conflict-of-interest concerns, but if you bring pictures and descriptions to the track when I'm there, I'll give you a no-BS opinion.
I'm also a PADI Divemaster. Randy Joy is an instructor, so he knows that Divemasters really do all the work...

Re: Do you support the CMRA?
Mechanical engineering and design, specifically for the aerospace side of things. I offer incredibly expensive design solutions to help you with your man-rated LEO transportation and/or micro-g habitat projects. Should you would want to travel further, say, like to the moon, I can assist with that, too. As a by-product of the techology used to statisfy your space-related requirements, you're likely to end up with technology that can be used to benefit in a 1g environment.

Thanks in advance.
F.Y.I. Your private msg box on this forum is full, must have several folks interested in a trip to the moon soon.

Re: Do you support the CMRA?
Christopher's company is doing amazing things with autistic children. My little boy Nicholas is autistic spectrum (Aspberger's) and has made significant progress through this type of research. 1 in 10 children is not a rare need...I'm sure there are other racers who have a child who struggles with this disability. Come by the Hellcats Course Endurance tent and pick up an Autism Awareness sticker for your bike. The cure comes through Awareness!
