"Dead horse" subject Jesse. I'm sure EMS acted in favor of the patient's best care option based on the signs/ symptoms. Great fodder for the arguement of purchasing air medical transport insurance though.
Sorry about the crash Eddie, heal up quick!
sorry about the crash Eddie, heal up quick buddy.
Heal up soon, Eddie.
Hope you heal fast, Eddie. We'll miss you at the track until then!
Heal up dude, call me if you need anything.
Hey, Eddie, I saw your name come up on the who's online list. Let us know how you're doing. You're probably done until next season cause wrists take a while to heal. Hope to see you out there at TWS anyway.
Sorry for such late response guys just been a little sedated lately. I'd like to give my sincere thanks & appreciation for all the concern and prayers, i sincerely appreciate it. Also i can't thank enough, those who helped my folks load up my trailer after the accident & especially those who helped me during the accident. That was very much appreciated as well...Thank You!!!
Well, I ended up shattering both my radius & ulna near the wrist, which are the forearm bones, which are now being held in place by a plate that was assembled through three incisions spanning from my index finger knuckle to mid-forearm. Broke two knuckles & severely dislocated my thumb which resulted in the bone puncturing the skin...Yep looked pretty freaky! Was able to manage getting away with only having the thumb reset w/ a few stitches though. There was also severe nerve damage done to the bottom of my wrist which called for carpal tunnel surgery to repair and relieve the nerves that control my middle and index finger plus my thumb. At this point im still under quite a bit of pain from time to time & have very little feeling in my fingers at all. The Dr. says i may only regain 20% of all the motion in my wrist & may forever have numb spots in my fingers. I say through faith, prayer & the will of the Lord my goal is 100% recovery. This will all get better over time.
Im happy to be able to say i feel as though the CMRA has far beyond exceeded all my expectations, especially for making all the right calls for me while in desperate need. The care & help I received, not to mention the promptness speaks volume beyond measure of what the CMRA family is all about which im proud to be a part of. Such a phenomenal job! Thank you very much!!!
I'd like to give special thanks to Walter & Nancy for checking up on me while in the hospital & making it all ok on & off the track with me & my parents. Especially mom with her overwhelming concern. lol.. Thanks Walt & Nancy!
I'd also like to specially thank everyone on the scene. All the corner workers first off...thank you! I can't remember all the voices. I know i heard Ryan, Walter, & Fred for sure. & i think Steve. I honestly can't thank u guys enough.
And a very special thanks to Mr. Fred Chatman for taking the time out to call me multiple times to give me well need words of encouragement which i'll never forget. Thanks Fred!
Thanks Hayden for starting the thread. Good luck on the remaining races buddy. Your doing great & very deserving of all your wins & top finishes. Stay focused & keep up the great work little buddy. Im rootin' for ya!

glad to see you are feeling better i was working that corner and got the bike out of the way and helped take your boots off the stood back and watched the emt's to what they do best your arm definatly looked extremely painful hope to see ya back next season you are in my prayers
Hang in there Eddie! In 2007 I had some nerve damage to my index finger from a crash but after a couple of years it was all better.... Keep the faith, you'll be back!!
So sorry to hear about the misfortune Eddie, stay positive and I hope you heal faster than anticipated!
Sad to hear about this Eddie, take care of yourself and heal up. After all I struggled with regaining use in my right arm after my wreck in 2003...nerve transplant, muscle loss...all I can tell you is that it takes work and dedication with the determination to push through the pain. With your great family behind you and your personality you'll do well. Take care of yourself and hope to see you and your family back out at the track at some point in the future.
