We use a dry erase board. You just need to use the wide tip markers.

i took about about a day of hunting down parts and cutting vinyl.

This is what we have...nothing fancy, but it works...some PVC pipe, a 2 x 2 foot 1/4-inch plywood and decals from 212 Decals...it does the trick.

Always used the lid to my spares box with duct tape numbers. White board with a bunch of 1" x 4" black magnets would prob work great. You want to give lap times or just "pit now" info?
