Incredible stuff as usual.
:hail:
Makes it look so easy... wow
That was me in my prov nov shirt towards the back of the novice group about to get smoked after T5 around the 8:50 mark. No shame getting blow away by the best!
It was a privilege to be CW in 8 during that pass Danny made on Ty... So I got to see that up-close... I was just staring in amazement.. Well I might have said holy %&*$ or something like that.. These guys are just awesome...
It must be so awesome to be that darn good. Great video.
Slicing and dicing at the end there. Glad I am not on a big bike and have those guys go by making me think I must have hit a false neutral. Duhamel/Stoner and others would be cursing those back markers. Ty and Danny are real gentlemen.
Please don't take the above post as denigrating the lapped riders. Been there, done that. :burnout:
It was a great race. Missing so much practice while working in Louisiana all weekend made it a challenging couple of races. Like I told everyone taking a second like that was worth the price of admission for me. It took me a few laps each race to get it in gear but I felt strong the whole race so I came off the track with a smile. The lappers with the weepers made passing super hard.
We came up on the group entering 10 on the last lap and i had been planning a big run into 11 on the last lap as I had discovered that was the only corner I seemed to have an advantage. However as Danny passed the last guy up the inside he closed the door on me. I had to hold him off me with my left hand. I was a little bummed as it cost me my only opportunity but that's racing so no hard feeling guy on white bike. You did nothing wrong but next time maybe be aware after getting passed by the leader that 2nd may be following closely. You were in a close battle also so I know how it is sometimes while racing.
Danny has been on the short end of the stick with lappers before so it was my turn this time.
Great race everyone.
It sure as hell isn't that easy as you two make it look. Very impressive with a weeping track and all..
Great stuff Danny and Ty! Thx for posting Marcus.
Thanks for putting this up!
Was his speedo accurate... wow, what cornering speeds!!!!! My hats off to you two!
I actually don't think it is that far off Eric. The stock Bridgestone tire (that the speedo is designed around) is about 9mm shorter than the Pirelli Superbike Slick. So, given we are running -1 on the front and Stock on the rear, it should be within 7%-9% with the exception being that I think most speedo's are "fools gold" over 140mph.
When I saw the Speedo in that vid.. It just said fast....:twitch:
Has there ever been a blue flag in CMRA?
In the past and it's no longer present?
Could it be put into effect?
+1, with my new Leatt I couldn't see them coming, yes I know I'm not supposed to look back! It would just be nice to have a little warning before I get a haircut by the leaders. Smooth and predictable lines doesn't mean I won't trade paint if I tip it in at the wrong time.
Don't worry about it -- seriously. Ty, Derek, Danny, Brandt and the other top experts are that good.
I don't have a say in this, but I'm not a fan of the blue flag idea. This is amatuer racing and you have every bit as much right as the leaders to be on that track.
Nice to watch as always!!
