I spoke with Reynelle, (504) 302-4870
And booked a pole. $40 a night. She told me the north side is full (by pit wall) I'm on the south side anyway due to rig size. So y'all need to call and book. It was elbow to elbow last time.

$40 PER DAY/NIGHT? Ya'll are gonna have to listen to my generator for that price since I will be there Thur-Sun. But don't worry, only night I will be staying at the track is Thur night, all other run time will be during the day.
To clarify, the pole spots by the front wall are plenty big. I just prefer the backside due to our pit configuration.
at $40 a night it better be 50amp.. I love me some nola though and even when that place is packed its not bad.. anything is better than getting told the mud is the normal spot for vendors at Hallet -_-
According to Reynelle they are 50 amp services.
Booked
So $40 night... Even with my small-time dual Eu2000 setup I burn ~15 gallons a day, and will probably burn more with the A/C on the whole time. This is a breakeven at least and saves time on the genny... IN!
So to park a trailer there overnight is $30 regardless if you need power or not? I booked a spot with power but was just wondering?
Is this correct? $30/night just for parking even if you don't need power. That can't be right.
I just called the track and spoke to Renelle. Basically it's $30 per night to stay at the track overnight and an extra $10 if you want power. Just great another $90 plus added to this already expensive trip. Ridiculous, something better should be negotiated for our club IMO.
Wait... what? $30 per what per night? Person? Vehicle? Trailer? What if I ride with someone and bring a tent?
Anything about just dropping your bike and gear off?
Going to be ticked off if I have to pay $30 a day to not even camp.
It is per vehicle, not per person. They have only 4 power pole spots left. Must pay in advance. I just rented mine. They are 50amp poles and will rent a 30 amp converter if needed for $50 deposit.
PS: You can buy a converter at HD or Lowes for about $20
Brandon- I am sure that they would not charge you to just drop, but I'd call to be sure.
This just in. NOLA now under TWS management. Lol jk.
I called earlier and it doesn't cost anything to just keep your trailer there overnight. I spoke to her and she said if you want power then it's $40/day. She didn't say you had to pay to just camp out. Someone else might call and verify. I think they are just being pushy and want you to rent a power pole. B.s. Sales tactics. Total crap if you have to pay to camp. The CMRA is already paying good money to rent the facility and they are going to charge us too?????? Can't be right. There might. Be some miscommunication. I just know she really wanted me to rent a pole. She said there is no way you can run 3 sets of warmers off one pole. " you will burn this place down" was her response. Hahaha. I'm glad Were staying at a hotel.
3 sets of warmers on 30 or 50 amp service....easy peasy.
We are working on the event information email now. Walter is confirming details with the track and when I get the information, the event email will be sent.
I spoke with Kelly this afternoon about the camping fees. Apparently Reynelle was mistaken about the camping fees. $40 per day for power is the only camping fee being charged. There is NO $30 fee per day for camping without power.
Nice! Thanks, Walter
Thanks Walter!
I have never been to NOLA before and plan on being there when the gates open. Sections 2 and 10 on the edited map below are the areas with power. Is there a specific area that is reserved for the vendors? For those of us not using power and not a vendor, where is the best place to park?

There is a ton of space between the powered section and the front straight.
Steven, that specific information is covered in a separate post here:

And there is a link to the CMRA event reserved parking map here:
Quote:
TRACK FACILITY MAP
• A facility map of the track is located on the CMRA Forms Page here: http://www.cmraracing.com/attachment...7&d=1433860204
• PLEASE NOTE: The areas marked as “RESERVED PARKING” show the area reserved for those who have paid for camping spots with power. Do not park in those areas if you do not have reserved camping with power.
Hmmmm covered pit lane? Sounds fancy!
The only restrooms are at North Control? Or are they at the event center and Speed Shop also, but just not mentioned?
And also on my last question about recommendations on where to park, I am asking in reference to ability to hear the announcements, blind spots for the radio/scanner, proximity to restrooms, etc. Basically a lessons learned type thing for those that have been there.
Where are endurance teams to pit that haven't reserved a powered parking spot adjacent to pit lane? That entire area is shown to be reserved (and apparently totally booked). I certainly don't want to set up a pit area only to have a motor coach roll up and tell me to move. I can certainly see how people would believe that paying for such a prime spot would reserve that adjacent pit area for the weekend as well.
