    Question Powder coating help

CMRA family! long time no see....

I am in need of some help. Does anyone powder coat or know somebody that does? I live in Abilene and I am not sure about the quality of the shops here or the typical pricing of getting a 81' Suzuki GS750 frame, 2 rims, and lower front forks powder coated. I do not want to get ripped off.

Please let me know if you powder coat or if you can help me out with some info on this.

    Thanks guys!!!!

    Alex

There's a group out of Austin by the name Ricochet Customs. I can't vouch for them but they were at the Harvest classic recently hosting a booth.

Another Abilenian! I wouldn't trust the quality of much of anything out here, unfortunately. I'm sure people will chime in with DFW recommendations...

    I would have charged
$300-400 depending on the frame size
    $80/wheel
    $60 for the triples.

Hey Alexandra you could try "Attention to Details" Phone# 570 220 0956. They are on facebook as well, a former co-workers business, name is Eric. He is a class act and does great work at reasonable rates. Tell him I sent ya!

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I've always believed this, in spite of the trouble it's caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba.... H.S.T.

Agreed. He's done work on my bike; wheels, levers, swing arm etc even my wheel chocks on the trailer.

"Another Abilenian! I wouldn't trust the quality of much of anything out here, unfortunately." that's what I was afraid of. Thanks guys for all the info. I will look into some of those places and see if I can get a good deal.

I have used Extreme Powder coating in Grand Prairie, they were quick, reasonable, and good quality.

Alexandra, on one of the local DFW forums, I've seen some site members reference this shop, and provided positive feedback.
