Do you have to sign up for the Licensing school, or just show up on the Friday and take the course?
It always saves time to pre-enter but you can do it at the track, but get there early. like 6am so your not rushed.
I was leaning toward selling the triple as it is a pristine street bike (never dropped) and pick up a track only bike just didn't want to go through the hassle. If you see a Harley XR1200 on track days it's probably me as I will hit some track days before I can purchase a track ready bike. thanks again
Hello, I am thinking of getting into CMRA racing but unsure in which class I would be in. I have a 2006 Ducati 749 and I am over 40, would this put me in the heavyweight Formula 40 class? My bike is stock except for AK-20s, slipper clutch, and slicks.
thanks,
jason
It's good for C Superbike, if you ask Walter, he may allow C Superstock even with Slipper clutch, his call, you can also see if WW will allow in F2 as a 749 in F2 is supposed to be Superstock legal, you can be in Hwt Twins, which also runs Modern Classic which it's also legal for but gridded behind Hwt Twins Expert, but is combine Novice/Expert. You can also race F40 Middleweight which runs at same time as F40 Heavyweight. And you can race up classes in same B and A classes WW approves for C. Plus F1 too
I think that bike is legal for, if the slipper clutch is SS legal which I believe it is.
D SBK
F2
LTw twins
F40 LTW
HW twins
C SS & SBK
Maybe Modern Classic I don't know but it runs with HW twins I'd recommend just running HW Twins.

That bike would be eligible for the following classes F40-Middleweight or F40 HW, F40 LW, Modern Classic, B-SB, C-SB, A-SB, F2, and Heavyweight twins.....you could add SS classes if you change to DOT race tires.
Not eligible for D SBK nor LTW twins as Jordan mentioned above.
My advice is to run F2, HWT or Modern Classic, F40 LW, & maybe C SB for Sundays
On saturdays you could run Solo 30's or T60's in the LW classes since they use F2 rules!
I have a Duc 749!
