2022 DOUBLE HEADER PREMIER SPRINT WEEKENDS!!

The 2022 CMRA season will include Double Header Premier Sprints at the following rounds.

Round 3 MSR Houston April 30 - May 1
Round 5 Motorsport Ranch June 18 - 19
Round 8 Hallett Motor Racing Circuit October 1 - 2

Premier Sprint Classes:
Formula 1 Expert and Novice
C Superbike Expert and Novice
Formula 2 Expert and Novice
500 Superbike Expert and Novice

There will be two races for each class per event.

Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday.

Class points will be used to determine the starting grid for Race 1.

Race 1 results will be used determine the starting grid for Race 2.

Best finish points from either Race 1 or Race 2 will apply to the class championships.

Race 2 will be included in the tiered entry fee structure.

Only 1 will count for the season class championships

Maybe my question wasn't clear. Yes I am aware only the best finish will count towards the class championship. What isn't stated is when tallying your best 3 results from the weekend for your overall score will only your best result count (because it is one class) or can both results go towards your weekend since it is two seperate races both of which you are paying an entry fee for?

While race 1 and race 2 of a Premier Class race are the same class they are still two individual races.

Points will be accumulated on a maximum of a rider’s best three points earning races during each race event.

If race 1 and race 2 of a premier class on a double header weekend are two of a riders best three points earning races they will both be counted.

Gentlemen,
Just a thought but wouldn't it make it more interesting to make both races count toward a weekend overall placing that would be determined by combining the score from race one and race two. Then, the overall result could be what was used toward championship points.
