    Starter Bike

Hi everyone. I am looking for a starter bike. I assume I need something small. I do want it to be race ready condition. So, what you got? I’ve been riding for 60 years And turned pro at 16, but I haven’t raced since Kenny Roberts dragged a knee. Now, I have plenty of time on my hands and want to go play.

Hi Alain. Nice bike, but I took a look at it a couple of weeks ago. You weren't willing to negotiate in any way. Gotta throw me a bone.

FYI - the suspension alone is over $3k

Hi Keth, thanks for your input. I understand that $3000 in suspension has been installed on the bike. However, nobody ever gets the retail price for options. I recently sold my 997, with Brake, Suspension, Engine, Exhaust, and several very expensive upgrades. I certainly never expected retail prices on upgrades and I received very little extra cash for them. I would never spend new/retail prices for used equipment.

PS - Here's a reply to a private message. "$14,000 build on top of a $5,000 bike..." Just because someone spent $19,000 on a bike doesn't make it worth $19K.

You just passed on a really good deal for a bike. That bike probably cost $12k to build. Yes, i know all about how you don't get full retail ouit of a race bike. Been doing this since last century. We built Cosmo's R3 years ago and had $16k in it and sold it for $4500. Just FYI
