I'm in the market for a lightweight enclosed trailer, suitable for hauling two bikes, one big green egg, tools and the like.
I plan to outfit it with generator, air conditioning, camping cot and the like.

All the partying at Peyton's trailer keeping you awake?
LOL!
Actually, Peyton's set-up is still in the plan for race weekends. We just took a contract on our house. I suspect our next place will not have a garage given the price point we are looking, so I need a way to stage the bikes in Dallas other than the Kendon! And, I want options for non-race weekends.
Did I mention I think we are going to have a 10-yr mortgage less than half the cost of a typical race weekend? This guy is done with the rat race!
Slightly misleading comment. I should have said I'm done with spending my money on a house we are never at and ending up in that ridiculous cycle. Would rather enjoy life a little more. We are getting rid of a lot of stuff, too.
I'm staying in the software business.
Our current dwelling was purchased with the idea of 6 full sized humans occupying it full time. It was perfect for that. However, now we are down to 3 full sized and one miniature and at this point we are not there a whole lot. Way too much house for us. I'd rather spend the money on new ninja 250 clutches. Or toys for the dude.
Very correct. In fact, less space is better, IMO.
what are you plan to tow it with ?
im considering selling my 8x15......

pretty interesting trailer. its most certainly small and lightweight. not sure how big but i suppose to harleys can fit in it
I'm thinking along the lines of a 6x10, maybe even Aluminum. 3000lb loaded tow weight, just big enough to camp in, might fit in a garage, but definitely fits in an ordinary parking space.
Take a look at the Wells Cargo ME Series. They are low profile to fit in your garage and a single axle configuration would meet your GVWR requirement of sub 3000lbs. They are available in 5x10, 7x10, and 6x12.

7x12, 1700lbs empty wt, asking $3k. Let me know if you don't want to join that forum but want me to get seller contact info for you.
Jim, I've got the perfect trailer for you. I'm looking to get a larger trailer to fit bigger toys in and I'm selling my current 6x12 Royal Cargo race trailer. I carried two bikes using STS stands, a pit bike, and all the other necessities easily. It's insulated and already has an A/C that works great! 4 rows of etrack along the walls and a built in shelf w/spare. I sleep in it all race weekends and will have it at TWS. Bill Klindworth owned it before me. I've just lowered the Craigslist price to $3,700 but there is a CMRA discount. Call or text if interested. 512.810.0127. - Jeff
I've been wanting to see one of these in a wind tunnel for a long time. It appears as through it would part the air nicely, beating a flat-fronted trailer by a mile, but it doesn't put air back together again for chit, but that's by design. Now put some small dimples on the leading edge of it for laminar airflow and, geez, watch it haul the tow vehicle! Never mind; I'm a nerd.
Jeff,
Do you have some pictures? What is the empty weight?
I can email or text you some pictures but can't post them here without being signed up for a picture hosting website.
use imgur.com you dont have to sign up.
Bump!
Definitely in the market now. Could also accept trades if someone wants my 2-rail Kendon fold-up.
Jim,
I might be selling my enclosed trailer. If I sold it, it'll be for same price I paid for it last yr, $2,500.
It was Randy Joy's. Fits 2 bikes and gear nicely. Has A/C, trailer ramp, tool box on tongue. Randy set this baby up with practically everything u can imagine. Pit bull restraints, bike stand holders on door, gas jug holder, shelves, walls are carpeted, post-it board, even a spot carved out for ur generator, and outside outlets to make running A/C with electric or via generator a breeze. It's got everything.
Just had the bearings re-packed. Needs nothing. Ready to pull today. I'm leaning toward selling it. It's in Austin, but slight chance I might be heading to Cresson for one day this weekend. PM me if interested.
Photos please...
Sold. I'll take it.
You may be too late.
Dammit Jim! You have no idea what you've done to peace and harmony in the paddock.
Did I just post that publically?
Jim,
Let's chat tomorrow. U have 1st dibs.
Note that I officially offered first via text. Sight unseen. Jim, I need it worse than you do! :)
Proler definately needs it worse Jim. Just saying...
If I don't get an enclosed, I'm done racing or doing track days anywhere but ECR. My new residential situation would prevent me using the Kendon to hold/store bikes the week before a race event. (as in, no private garage).
I would argue I need it worse than anyone.
This trailer is MINE! LOL! MINE! MINE MINE MINE!
Troler,
Buy the Kendon and quit being that"Guy".
I'll make you a super-sweet deal on the Kendon. I'd keep it if I had a garage in town.
David K was taunting us, so I'm still in the market ;)
