Hope everyone has a safe and happy thanksgiving. I just wanted to give a final update on Pops. TIRR has approved him to spend thanksgiving tomorrow at home with us and the family. He will be released at 8am and we will have to take him back at 8pm at night. He then will be released from TIRR this Saturday November 29. He will finally be able to be at home and try to get his routine back on track slowly. He will still have to go to therapy next week at least but we will drop him off in the morning and will pick him up in the afternoons. With his progress, even though its early to tell, he will have to do it at least a week from his release from TIRR. He is obviously ready to get out of there and try to get back to his normal life. I have been present in a lot of his therapies hes undergone and I can say that he has dramatically gotten better from when he first started. Its been such a beautiful thing to witness and has truly been a miracle. He has been in very good spirits and he constantly has the nurses, therapists and doctors laughing with his jokes and personality. He and our family are so thankful for all the love and prayers and that has truly helped us get through the difficult times. Pops read all of your messages on here for the first time yesterday and he was overwhelmed by all the posts from everyone. It was very emotional for all of us who were in the room with him. We are truly thankful and grateful for everything. Again, the Gonzalez family want to say THANK YOU to everyone and soon you will we will personally say thank you to each of you.
